Dynasquare; THE BEST resistance bands can either intensify your exercise, or accommodate your level of fitness. For example, doing pull-ups, loop the band over the chinup bar and step into the loop and you will lighten your bodyweight. You have now made it possible for more reps. However, fasten one end to your belt, and anchor the other end to the floor and you intensify the pull-ups.

You can do your pushups by looping the band around your back, and holding an end in each hand. You have now exponentially increased the intensity of the exercise.

Personally what I use bands for, are powerlifting exercises. Similarly to the body weight exercises, (and you will need two bands for this), bands can be hung from above, thus lightening the load at the bottom of the movement; and making it heavier at the top. The most effective way, however, when doing the powerlifts, is to use the bands from the bottom; creating accommodating resistance. And so, the latter technique will compound the resistance of the exercise creating an additional dynamic pull to the already effective gravitational pull.
