Push/Pull Competition in Thunder Bay March 23, 2024





COLD WATER RECOVERY

DAY ONE: Sept 17, 2023

Tried to video it, but alas, my system did not work. next week I will endeavour to have a cameraman/wife with me to record the torture.

Cold Water immersion is a great way to facilitate recovery from heavy, intense workouts. I thought I would monitor my weekly (Sunday Mornings at 8 am) progress now the weather is getting colder. Every week it will get a little colder until the ice forms and I will have to quit (thankfully no doubt). This will be a “Progressive Resistance” of sorts.

If you have never done this before, and have been thinking of starting, what better way to ease on into it on a weekly basis?

DAY 2: SEPTEMBER 24, 2023

I was a wee bit colder this time, but not too too bad. We had summer like weather all week so the water is quite manageable. Not much elseo to report.

WDC TRAP BAR COMPETITION:

Just threw together some of the lifting that went on at the Competition last Saturday. Thunder Bay has some of the strongest people in the world living and competing there.

I’m thankful that they let me run with them a wee bit. i was in the Fossil Category (being over 60). Aggie is much younger of course. However by the grace of God, we both reached our goals. The training seems to have paid off (unorthodox though it was).

Someone once said, “I love it when a plan comes together….”
